One Paw at a Time:
A Service Learning Project

Howl-O-Ween

Once our ideas were approved by the director of the RHSPCA, we immediately got to work

We promoted the event through social media by making a Facebook event and sharing it through our own networks.

On the day of the event we arrived early to help set up the tables for our display and activites, as well as the adoptable animals. We also helped clean up at the end of the day.

Our Event took place on October 19th at the Rocking R Ace Hardware store. We brought a trifold to display all the adoptable animals to the event goers. The table was decorated with candy, crayons, and coloring pages for the little ones. We also had an activity going to make your own dog toys with tshirt strips, which was a hit with everyone.
There was also face painting and a local vet giving out freebies.
All dogs were encouraged to dress up to get their pictures professionally taken.
